Charley began his career in finance at Regional Acceptance Corporation in Greenville, NC, rising from assistant branch manager to VP of the credit department over 8 years. He then moved to Carolina Finance, LLC and held the role of Chief Credit Officer-VP for several years. Charley was later promoted to President/CEO of Carolina Finance and led the company for over 7 years. He took this role as the Great Recession was in full swing and led Carolina Finance to a long stretch of profitable years, growing receivables from $58MM to $95MM and overseeing eight branches across three states.
Charley has experienced tremendous success that comes with growing a company in both challenging times as well as strong economic periods. At the same time, he has felt the pain that results from the additional complexity that growth creates. Charley’s passion is helping businesses just like yours avoid and reduce the common frustrations and unnecessary complexity that eventually impacts every organization.
Currently, Charley is a Certified EOS Implementer™ and part of the GoetzTraction Team out of Raleigh, NC. In this role, he helps entrepreneurs/business owners get more what you want from their business. This is achieved by implementing the EOS model, a complete and proven system with a set of simple, practical tools to help them increase and align with three things called: Vision, Traction, Healthy.
As a Certified EOS Implementer Charley will serve in many roles: Teacher, Facilitator and Coach. He has a way of setting the appropriate context to facilitate what needs to be worked out with each unique leadership team. Having someone talented from outside your organization offers the most direct way toward achieving your desired vision. Charley will be able to see things and/or bring out things that most organizations cannot do internally. It is why so many small to mid-size businesses are recognizing the value of an operating system coupled with professional implementation. Charley is also certified in Kolbe, a powerful assessment that helps build powerful teams and get the most out of everyone’s role.
Charley is a graduate of the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He resides in Asheville, NC with his wife and family.
